Important
This Hand Tracker plugin is currently not interoperable with our other trackers. Support for combining multiple AR trackers in the same experience is planned for future updates.
Combining multiple trackers is possible experimentally. This prototype demonstrates using Image Tracker together with World Tracker to create extended tracking experiences.

In-editor testing is currently not supported. To run the full experience, build your project for WebGL, or use our editor debugging tools for development and testing.
Why WebAR?
WebAR is best suited for lightweight, accessible, and shareable AR experiences.
Users can launch your experience instantly by opening a link or scanning a QR code. No app download required.
No Hosting Fees
Unlike many WebAR platforms that require monthly subscriptions, per-view fees, or per-app-id pricing, you can host your own experiences and avoid recurring platform costs.
White-label
Host your WebAR experiences like any other Unity WebGL build.
Upload to your own domain or website — the entire technology stack is yours.
Hand Tracking Key Features
Fast Setup, Professional Results
Designed for beginners and experienced developers alike. Use included samples to create production-quality WebAR face tracking experiences in just a few minutes. Watch the Hand Tracker Setup tutorial
21-Keypoint Hand Tracking
Fast and accurate hand tracking powered by MediaPipe. Detect left and right hands, track individual finger positions, and anchor virtual objects such as rings, watches, and accessories to any of the 21 hand keypoints.
Multi-Hand Tracking
Track multiple hands simultaneously with support for up to 4 hands. Create interactive WebAR experiences with two-handed interactions, multiplayer-style controls, and advanced gesture-based gameplay.
Hand Mesh Deformation (Experimental)
Create more realistic virtual wearables with experimental hand mesh deformation. Improve occlusion and masking effects for accessories such as rings, watches, bracelets, and gloves.
Finger Animation System
Animate individual fingers based on customizable movement thresholds. Create expressive virtual hands, robotic arms, fantasy gauntlets, and interactive character experiences.
Hand Gesture Recognition (Experimental)
Detect custom hand gestures such as rock-paper-scissors, thumbs-up, pointing, and more. Build gesture-controlled interactions and gameplay experiences with experimental gesture recognition support.
Cross-Platform WebAR Browser Support
Supports major browsers for desktop and mobile. Tested and works on Chrome, Safari, Edge, Firefox across a wide range of devices. Tested and works on built-in browsers in messaging apps such as WeChat, Facebook Messenger and Viber.
Post Processing & HDR Support
Create richer WebAR visuals with support for Unity Post Processing and HDR rendering across both Universal Render Pipeline (URP) and Built-In Render Pipeline. See it in action in the Post Processing & HDR demo video.
Use Cases
